Ken Marko is a senior manager of Fleet Sustainability for Frito-Lay North America, where he leads sustainability initiatives to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions.
Ken is currently the project manager for a transformative effort that will showcase sustainability in manufacturing, warehousing and distribution operations by introducing emerging, pre-commercial zero- and near-zero emission technologies for freight operations. He will oversee implementation of this project at Frito-Lay’s Modesto site by introducing solar energy, electric vehicle charging stations, battery storage systems, CNG tractors fueled by renewable natural gas, and adding battery electric trucks, tractors, yard trucks, and forklifts.
Ken previously oversaw the compressed natural gas alternative fuels program, working with industry and government organizations to investigate, develop and implement other engineering technologies to reduce fuel consumption for Frito-Lay’s fleet vehicles.
Ken has been in his role at Frito-Lay since 2011, after working as a project engineer at Peterbilt Motors for 16 years.
Ken has an extensive engineering background with a successful record of developing and executing strategic product initiatives in the trucking industry.
Ken earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and just recently relocated to Modesto, California.
